VIRTUAL FALL CLASSES

MONDAY

Simplifying Landscapes Successfully - Water-based Media, two 5-week sessions

We will progress to larger and more complex paintings with surface textures and markings.

TUESDAY

Brush-Up on Basic Watercolor Techniques, two 5-week sessions
Instructor: Fran Vail

Each week I will send you a photo several days before class, which will address an essential technique of watercolor: mixing colors, wet and dry brush applications, blending edges, perspective, etc. You’ll draw the photo image in preparation for the class so we can spend our time painting. I will be available to help you via email during the week on all your painting projects.

Class limited to 8 students.

WEDNESDAY

Painting with Lisa, two 5-week sessions
Instructor: Lisa DePinto

Art is an opening, and through the magic of Zoom we’ll explore your unique artistic vision and open up to seeing the beauty of the everyday, channeling our creative energy onto canvas. Our classes will function the same as they would in person and include demonstrations as well as time to share and discuss each other’s work. Together we’ll also study the work of contemporary artists and old masters. We’ll make the most of being homebound and learn to see our interiors—something as simple as your kitchen sink or intricate as a bouquet of flowers—through fresh, artistic eyes. Feel free to work from a personal arrangement of beloved pieces in your home or directly from a photograph if you prefer. Whatever you choose, you’ll receive plenty of instruction and encouragement along the way.

Class limited to 8 students.
