SUMMER ART CAMP 2018
We are excited to offer our fun summer art camps this year! Our fabulous children’s art faculty has planed creative projects exploring many varied mediums! Campers will experience the solid traditional mediums of drawing and painting, as well as learning new techniques and being exposed to new art skills. New projects each day – no repeats!

MORNING ART DISCOVERY CAMP (AM) Ages 5-7 years old
Campers will produce fun projects that will uncover their creativity and imagination. Using a wide variety of materials, projects will include painting, ink prints, fabric media, drawing, clay, watercolor, sculpture and much, much more.
AFTERNOON ART ADVENTURE CAMP (PM) Ages 8-11 years old
Campers will work with a variety of media and processes including painting, drawing, printing, clay and more. Create independent original artwork in a fun supportive group environment.
Cost includes all materials, a snack and unlimited fun!

FALL 2018 YOUTH CLASSES
Art Through a Time Machine! (2nd - 4th grades)
Instructor: Lyndsay Murphree
Learn all about the different ways art has been created- from ancient Egypt to Monet to Warhol! Students will delve into how artists created their most famous works and then create masterpieces of their own! This class is a mixed media exploration of techniques and styles through the ages, using ink, markers, paint and even tea. Projects range from Egyptian figures drawing using tea stained "parchment", medieval book illuminations using initials to Van Gogh flower paintings and Warhol Multiples.
When: 9/24 - 12/3 (10 classes) No Class 10/8
Time: 4:30pm- 6:00pm
Draw, Paint, Print, Sculpt! (3rd-6th grade)
Instructor: Lillian Johnston
For either new or continuing students- new projects are always guaranteed! Artists will explore and express as they work with a variety of two and three dimensional art materials. As they create, students will learn about the elements and principles of design, composition, and some art history while doing lots of fun art making.
When: 9/18- 12/11 (13 classes)
Painting & Drawing (5th - 8th grade)
Instructor: Christopher Thomas
Starting with sketching and advancing to painting, students will learn how to plan, develop and create a finished piece using acrylic paint.
When: 9/26 - 12/12 (10 classes) No class 10/31, 11/21
Time: 4:45- 6:15pm
Art Meets Engineering (5th - 8th grade)
Instructor: Michael Greenman
Enjoy design and engineering! This class is for students who love art and work with their hands... topics will include constructing, sculpting, modeling, building miniatures and much more... wherever our imaginations take us! We will use a variety of media including clay, wood, metal, foam, and recycled/upcycled objects. Students will be challenged each week with new inspirational ideas. Drawing, design, color, pattern, shape, and designer techniques will make this class fun!

Pop-Up Art Studio (K-3rd grades, ages 5-8 years)
Instructor: Susan Tecktiel
Using a variety of materials, young artists work on projects that encourage children to use their imagination as they draw, paint, sculpt, and make prints, collages and more. Each week students will create a project inspired by a different artist.
When: 9/21- 12/14 (10 classes) No class 11/2, 11/9, 11/23
Saturday Morning Artists (2nd-5th grade, ages 7-11 yrs)
Instructor: Jude Bamshad
Explore the fun of drawing and painting in a variety of media. Faces, places, animals and nature--let your imagination go! This class is for students who love to draw, paint and learn new techniques.
