About Us

Art Exhibits in Winnetka

Our History

Founded in 1924, the League remains dedicated to enriching the communities we serve through art education and exhibitions.  NSAL hosted its first art show in 1925, and has continued to do so for over 93 years. Through the years we have sponsored nationally known exhibits for artists such as:  the Old Orchard Art Fair, New Horizons, a National Craft Festival, Art on the Plaza and our newest  outdoor art fair: Art in the Village. The League's calendar of exhibits also includes year-round group and solo shows in our galleries.

We conduct classes in the League's facilities at the historic Winnetka Community House.  The main studio features a 60 foot skylight, and our premiere print program offers art classes for adults and children.  Our talented faculty members continue to inspire over 1,000 plus students annually.
